One Day Workshop on Strengthening Life Skills for Professionals

One day workshop on strengthening life skills for professionals was successfully completed. The workshop was conducted by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and  Department of Business Management. The resource person for the workshop was Prof. Dr. Alapati Srinagesh, a renowned motivational speaker.

The workshop began with an inauguration at 10:30 AM in Seminar Hall, D-Block, Methodist College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. The inauguration started with welcome address by Dr S.Sujatha, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Business management, MCET and also, during the welcome address, madam welcomed Dr. M. Lakshmipathi Rao, Director, Dr. Prabhu G Benakop, Principal, President of the function and Prof. Dr. Alapati Srinagesh, guest of honour, Dr, Ravi M Yadahalli, Dean (QA &A). Guest of honour was introduced during the welcome address.

Dr. Prabhu G Benakop, during his presidential remarks, mentioned that having strong life skills are important things for every individual during their whole career. Life skills are not only necessary for overall development but also help in empowering oneself.

Later, Prof. Dr. Alapati Srinagesh shared thoughts and enhancing communication skills through video-based learning, Techniques, and the. programs  to develop young peoples' abilities and motivations to make use of all types of information. The approach was interactive, with role plays, games and group discussions which kept the participants wholly involved in the sessions.

The workshop started at 10.30 AM with resource persons giving some activities as part of workshop.

The workshop concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Ravi M Yadahalli, Dean

One day workshop on Strategy, Creativity, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship Readiness was successfully completed. The workshop was conducted by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), IEDEC with support from Department of Business Management. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Mahesh P Sathavalli, Project Manager, WPP IT India Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru.

The workshop began with an inauguration at 10 AM in Seminar Hall, D-Block, Methodist College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. The inauguration started with welcome address by Dr S Sujataha, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Business management, MCET and also, during the welcome address, madam welcomed Dr. Prabhu G Benakop, Principal, President of the function and Dr Mahesh P Sathvalli guest of honour, Dr, Ravi M Yadahalli, Dean (QA &A) and Dr John W C M, IEDC coordinator. Guest of honour was introduced during the welcome address.

Dr. Prabhu G Benakop, during his presidential remarks, mentioned that creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are important things of the launch each innovative products and services that comes with advanced technology. Entrepreneurship is considered a key factor in economic development. Creativity and innovation have become the vital point to enhance the value of entrepreneurship. Creativity help us how to improve existing business practice. Innovation is about making a process that can convert invention or gain idea to become more marketable product or service. Also, he asked the students of Business management to become job giver rather job seekers.

Later, Dr Mahesh Sathavalli shared thoughts and latest trends - Digital Entrepreneurship, Gig economy, Importance of Case Study methodology; role plays, video-based learning Techniques.

Transition from Campus to Corporate: Insights from Sumaiya Ganesh, Tax Manager at Deloitte.

The seminar titled "Transition from Campus to Corporate" was conducted on December 1, 2022, at our college. The event featured Sumaiya Ganesh, a tax manager at Deloitte with four years of industry experience. Ms. Ganesh shared valuable insights on various aspects of corporate life, including the importance of corporate ethics, professional conduct, setting goals, and interview tips. This report aims to summarize the key takeaways from the seminar and their relevance for MBA students entering the corporate world.

The seminar began with an introduction by Ms. Ganesh, highlighting her own journey from campus to corporate life. She emphasized the significance of a smooth transition and provided valuable guidance to the MBA students attending the seminar. The session primarily focused on the following topics.

Corporate Ethics
